Ooey gooey caramel is a signature product here at Van Otis! You will learn the ins and outs of making a caramel from scratch, including ingredients, temperatures and how to alter a recipe to get a desired result. For safety reasons, participants will not make a batch of caramel, rather one of our master chocolatiers will perform a demonstration and provide you with the same recipe that you may attempt at home. A batch of smooth, buttery caramel will be prepared prior to the class which you will learn how to cut, dip in chocolate, and wrap to take home with you. Participants will take home 2 dozen pieces of caramel.
