A unique tribute evening of Van Morrison's original rock sound along with never-before-heard symphonic arrangements spanning the singer/songwriter's remarkable careeer. The Moondance Orchestra will be led by the Grand Rapids Symphony's Ed Clifford and accompanying him will be many other members of the symphony and guest players such as faculty from Interlochen and university music departments. The warm-up band for the evening, Creolization, led by local favorite, David Molinari, will also serve as the core rock ensemble delivering Van's hits with incredible fidelity, capturing the authentic flavor of the music loved by so many. Finally, vocal artist, Mark VandenBerge popular concert soloist locally in a variety of arenas from opera, symphony as well as the bistro stage, will deliver the power-packed vocals in an uncanny Morrison-like manner to round out the essential spirit of the music, making it an evening surely not long to be forgotten.
