Jerome Canady, M.D. has over 24 years of experience in the experimental and clinical application of surgical plasma and is currently the Co-Founder, CEO, and Chief Science Officer for US Medical Innovations, LLC and its family of companies that provide revolutionary hybrid plasma electrosurgical scalpels, endoprobes, and generators. As a surgical resident at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) in 1993, he invented and patented the world’s first flexible endoscopic application for Argon Plasma Coagulation, which provides the basis for the entire sub-field today. He completed his General Surgery residency at UPMC, a post-doctoral Fellowship in Immunology and Clinical Fellowship in Organ Transplantation at the Yale University School of Medicine/Yale New Haven Hospital, and an Advanced Fellowship for Multivisceral & Intestinal Transplantation in Adults and Children at UPMC’s, Thomas E. Starzl Transplantation Institute and Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, and serves as a diplomate of the American Board of Surgery and certified by the American Society of Transplant Surgeons.
