Witches and Wizards celebrate Valentine's Day at our specially themed Valentine's Wizard Dinners!

​Join us for a night of magical socially distanced fun in the fully decorated Hogwarts themed Bennett-Curtis Mansion- with fun scenes, props, & decorations throughout!

We are encouraging guests to come dressed for the occasion, costumes are encouraged but not required. Limited seating so make your reservations early!

Your evening will begin by being sorted into houses and figuring out the riddles to solve your photo scavenger hunt! Be sure to stop by The Cauldron Bar where you will be able to order specialty drinks including Polyjuice Potion, Butterbeer, Pumpkin Juice, and more. Explore the mansion and grounds prior to seating for dinner, there have been many scenes, sets, and props set up throughout. A specially themed plated dinner has been prepared by our house elves- you will cross onto Platform 9 3/4 and "travel" for a spectacular dinner in The Great Hall. Be sure to study up on your Wizard Trivia, during dinner you will go head to head with the other houses in a race for the House Cup! After dinner enjoy special photo opts and interact with characters! Plus after dinner you will have a chance to participate in a Wizard Class- don't forget to stop by Ollivanders to purchase your wand, we have many styles and character wands available at our shop just waiting to choose their Wizard!

Limited seating is available, Children and Adults welcome- an event for all ages!

You and Your Family/Friends will have a chance to step into our New addition to our Harry Potter dinners! Your group must pre register for the room (there are limited escape room reservations available and are by reservation only)

**COVID 19 Special Regulations & Guidelines**

We at The Bennett-Curtis House always put our patron’s health and safety first. We are working closely with the guidelines of the CDC, Heath Department, and IL Department of Commerce to make sure everyone is able to fully enjoy the event and still be safe. These guidelines and regulations are fluid, so please note that changes/updates or new regulations may be in effect on the date of the event.

- All food service will be on individual plates (no family style or station set ups)

- Your party will still be sat together at your own table for dinner. 40 guests max. attendance. All tables will be min. of 6ft from any other table/party during dinner seating. 6 travel parties maximum at each event seating.

- Guests are asked to wear face coverings while at the event, we will require mask wearing when not actively eating or drinking.

- We ask that all guests practice "Social Distancing" while on premise attending the event and keep at least 6 feet (2 meters) between your travel party and others whenever possible

- We ask guests that begin to have symptoms of COVID-19, which include fever, cough, and shortness of breath please stay home, we will address refund policy on a case by case basis. Temperature checks will be required upon arrival, and guests with a temperature of 100.4 degrees or greater will not be admitted.

- The venue including, but not limited to, dining rooms, props/set ups, bathrooms, and service areas will be fully disinfected and sanitized in between service/events. We have expanded our cleaning procedures and are taking every precaution to make sure we follow the guidelines and procedures put forth by the CDC, IL Department of Commerce, and Health Department including general health, travel policies, health monitoring of staff, disinfecting and cleaning procedures, physical workspace, staffing and attendance, external interactions, and customer behaviors.

Please note the CDC advises that older adults and people of any age who have serious underlying medical conditions might be at higher risk for severe illness from COVID-19. Guests should evaluate their risk in determining whether to attend. People who show no symptoms can spread COVID-19 if they are infected, any interaction with the general public poses an elevated risk of being exposed to COVID-19, and we cannot guarantee that you will not be exposed during your visit.We appreciate your cooperation during this unprecedented time. Visit the CDC website for the latest guidelines.*

The Menu: You will begin in the bar where you are welcome to purchase specialty drinks including our featured Butterbeer, Poly Juice Potion, Pumpkin Juice, and More! Guests will enjoy a 4-course plated dinner featuring appetizer plate, a cup of our made in house Tomato Bisque Soup, your choice of pre ordered entree (indicated on your order form) and for dessert a special treat- a Honeydukes goodie bag filled with fun "magical" candies, sweets, and treats including a Chocolate Frog and Frog Card!

Times: Doors open 60 minutes prior to seating for dinner. The Dinner is about 1.5-2hrs. **We ask guests to plan to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your dinner seating time.**

Psychic Readings by our Divination Professor: There are limited reservations available for our psychic readings- each reading lasts approx. 10 minutes per reservation. We recommend pre-reserving your readings by registering for our "Wizard Dinner & Divination Psychic Reading" tickets when you place your order- readings will be available during the hour prior to seating to dinner and maybe available after dinner. 

Seating: Your party will all be sat together- groups greater than 12 guests may be split between tables. 

What is the policy for lap children under 3 years old? This event is not recommend for toddlers/babies, however children under the age of 3 are admitted free as long as they sit on adults' laps and eat from their plate. If you prefer the child to have his or her own seat/highchair/booster seat and meal then you must purchase a ticket for them.

Will There Be Additional Wizard Themed Dinners Available? Yes, we will be hosting many themed dinners throughout the year- so be sure to add yourself to our "Event List" and check back on our website for information on those and all our special events!

How Do I Order Tickets? You can find a complete list of events and ticket availability here. Select the date of the event and time you would like to purchase dinner tickets for, then click "Tickets" and you will be presented with a pop up screen showing the ticket price, seats remaining, option to purchase tickets (subject to availability), once you select the number of seats you would like to purchase click "Checkout" and follow the instructions on the page.​

Tickets: Ticket(s) for The Bennett-Curtis House's Wizard Themed Event purchased are nonrefundable and nontransferable. If you are unable to attend and would like to sell or gift your seats to another guest please just forward the updated contact information, name, and ticket order confirmation number prior to the event so we can update our reservation sheet. Up to 8 players will be challenged in this new attraction by working together to find clues, solve puzzles, and pick locks that will free them from the game room. Do you have what it takes to escape from Azkaban?

$25 per person (you will have the Game Room exclusively for your group- max. of 8 players per group) Children will find this game difficult - minimum recommended age 12 years old.

Can you solve the puzzles to free yourself from Azkaban?

You have been wrongfully sentenced to Azkaban for the illegal use of Dark Magic on Muggles. The only way out is to solve the series of enchantments and spells to achieve keys. You must work as a team to release the keys that will be used to unlock a case that contains a portkey which is what you need to ESCAPE Azkaban! You have 60 minutes to obtain the portkey from the case before the time is up or you will be stuck in Azkaban forever! Do you have the skills to escape?

Directions/Rules: The room is set-up non-linear which means you can be working on multiple puzzles at the same time. You do not need any prior knowledge of Azkaban or Harry Potter to solve the puzzles/riddles all of the information needed will be inside the room itself.
