Event description

Description

Come celebrate Valentine's Day at North Baltimore Mennonite Church. The youth of NBMC will be hosting a fundraiser on Saturday February 16th. You can reserve a small table (for 1-4 people) or a seat at a group table. The youth will be serving you at your candle-lit table. Make it a magical evening with us.

Child care will be provided, and children will be fed.

Once you have a reservation you will be prompted to make menu selections. We will be offering a three course dinner in a French style. You will have a choice of an hors d’oeuvres, a principaux (entree), and a dessert. The menu options are as follows:

hors d’oeuvres

AUBERGINES CROQUANTES (Eggplant Napoléon) - Breaded eggplant sandwiching goat’s cheese & balsamic roast tomato over pesto.

SOUPE à L’OIGNON GRATINÉE (Onion Soup) - Caramelized Onion in a flavorful broth topped with toasted bread and cheese

principaux

SOLE MEUNIÈRE (Miller’s Fish) - Lightly breaded pan-fried fish in a brown-butter pistachio tarragon sauce, served with roast vegetables and rice

POULET À LA CRÈME DE CÂPRES À L'ÉCHALOTE - Pan seared chicken breast served over a shallot-caper creme sauce, served with roast vegetables and rice

RATATOUILLE - Herb roasted squash and vegetables. (Vegetarian)

dessert

MOUSSE AU CHOCOLAT (Chocolate Mousse)

TARTE AUX FRUITS (Fruit Tart) - Fresh glazed fruit over a creme patissiere in a sweet crust pastry shell.

Please indicate any dietary restrictions when placing your reservation. Adjustments can be made for dairy or gluten.

Note: an equivalent meal at a french bistro (like Petit Louis down the street) would be around $75 per plate without gratuity or child care. While it is understood that this amount is not required, please be generous.
