Soon after assuming his responsibilities, Uzbekistan's new president Shavkat Mirziyoyev has embarked upon a major reform agenda for his country. This has created new dynamics in the country's economic and political development, while also advancing Uzbekistan's regional role. The Central Asia-Caucasus Institute's forum on Capitol Hill will present an insider's perspective on objectives of the reforms, as well as on the process and pace of their implementation.

Speakers Include:
Alisher Kurmanov - Chairman, Committee on Foreign Affairs, International Economic Relations, Investments and Tourism, Senate of the Oliy Majlis (Parliament) of the Republic of Uzbekistan;
Laziz Kudratov - First Deputy Chairman, State Investment Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan;
Akmal Burkhanov - MP, Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis (Parliament) of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Member of the International Affairs and Inter-Parliamentary Relations Committee.
