About the UXPA Boston Annual Conference

It all started in 2001 when a small group of UXPA Boston members got together at MathWorks for a day of presentations and sharing of ideas. The "mini" conference was intended to be a safe, local place for people to practice their presentations for submission to the national stage - the UXPA International conference. The conference grew to 300+ attendees and changed location to Bentley University; in turn, it became an event curated by the Board of Directors, based on submissions from the membership. Now, the conference attracts over 1000 attendees, we've been at the Boston Sheraton for the past six years, and we've instilled a blind, peer-reviewed process to help with the Board's curation of the event.

The conference attracts researchers, designers, strategists, managers, product managers, C-Level, junior level, all people who love the field of user experience (UX)! An annual comment from attendees is that the best part of the conference is the networking: seeing old friends and meeting new ones.

Attendees may request a full refund through Eventbrite up to one week before the conference (on or before October 7, 2022). Attendees can transfer their registration to another attendee up to the night before the conference.

Attendee changes made within two weeks of the conference will not be reflected on name tags. Please ask for a new name tag at registration.

Code of Conduct

Anyone attending a UXPA Boston event is expected to review and adhere to our code of conduct

COVID Safety Protocols

As we plan for our first in-person conference in three years, the safety and health of our members are top priorities. In light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we are implementing safety protocols that all attendees are expected to follow while attending the annual UXPA Boston Conference on Friday, October 14. These include the following:

(1) bringing proof of vaccination with you to show at registration at the Sheraton Boston Hotel on October 14 in order to receive your lanyard and badge and (2) wearing a mask, regardless of your vaccination status, unless you are actively eating or drinking. (3) If you have not been vaccinated or cannot wear a mask for medical reasons, you are agreeing to provide a doctor's note as proof of your medical exemption.

We want to make sure we have an environment where everyone feels safe. Please contact us at conference@uxpaboston.org with any questions or concerns.
