Event description
The ability to listen and to extract user needs from human interactions will help you succeed as a lawyer. This workshop is your first step!

About this Event

This workshop is a full day event and a part of the This is Legal Design Thinking series. By challenging the legal professionals to take on the role of a researcher, the workshop will provide a way to think outside the box, get closer to client perspective, understand the principles of holistic thinking and gain practical guidelines to enhance one’s business.

If you attend this workshop, you will learn what UX is and how to use UX Research methods in your business and communication. In particular, you will learn the principles of research thinking and the basics of how to do an interview for research purposes. You will also get an opportunity to practice the interviewing method and get feedback on your work.

About the Trainer : Tena Lavrenčić

Tena is an anthropologist working in market and public research, based in Brussels. Born in Croatia, in a Slovene-Bosnian family, she knows how it is to be misunderstood and not quite fit in. So now she spends her time translating expectations, believes and values between different groups. She is also a strong advocate of fair fashion and responsible research and innovation. Secretary, she's a theater kid and is involved in Brussels amateur theater scene.

About the "This is Legal Design Thinking" workshop series:

Do you think it is possible to make law more accessible? Have you ever thought to embrace an open and collaborative culture in the legal world? Do you think that there are other possible ways to collaborate and integrate other disciplines in the legal sector (tech, design, art)? Are you looking for an alternative way, innovation and creativity?

If your answer is ‘yes’ to any of the above questions-This is Legal Design Thinking series of workshops might be for you.

We invite you to embrace a human-centered design. At its core, this means believing that all problems, even the seemingly intractable ones like poverty, gender equality, and clean water shortage, are solvable. Moreover, it means believing that the people who face those problems every day are the ones who hold the key to their answer.Human centered design is premised on empathy, on the idea that the people you’re designing for are your roadmap to innovative solutions.

We invite you to join us for a series of workshops organised by Places of Learning, in March and April. For the full list of events/trainings, please visit

This is not a theoretical learning program. It’s a hands-on, producing-work project. You will be capturing insights for a digital content project that will be published for a non-profit.
