Event description
The ability to listen and to extract user needs from human interactions you have with others will help you succeed as a lawyer.

About this Event

Do you think it is possible to make law more accessible? Have you ever thought about why it is so hard for lawyers to embrace an open and collaborative culture in their firm? Do you think that there are other possible ways to collaborate and integrate other disciplines in the legal sector (tech, design, art)? How can you fight feeling like an outcast for trying to innovate and think differently?

This is your opportunity to answer these and many other questions with real field work interviewing.

Come to our info session where we will explain to you all you need to know about our Human Centered Design Academy. 6.5 hours a week from March 15 to April 15 (3 hour theory, 20 hour field research ,3 hours process, download and organize research data).

Embracing a human-centered design means believing that all problems, even the seemingly intractable ones like poverty, gender equality,and clean water shortage, are solvable. Moreover, it means believing that the people who face those problems every day are the ones who hold the key to their answer.Human centered design is premised on empathy, on the idea that the people you’re designing for are your roadmap to innovative solutions.

This is not a theoretical learning program. It’s a hands-on, producing-work project. You will be capturing insights for a digital content project that will be published for a charity.

After the academy participants will be able to:

  • Learn how to conduct design research interviews (dialogue interviews,sensing from the field)
  • Understand the main principles of deep listening
  • Explore important skills for leadership: self awareness, political awareness and understanding others
  • Broaden one’s conversational repertoire and to learn how to operate from other fields of conversational emergence. From downloading to talking from the flow of pure presence.
  • Collect digital assets in a multimedia format for a real project that will have positive impact in society
  • Pushing yourself off the safe ground into total presence
  • Test your emotional intelligence as your ability to monitor one’s own and other’s emotions;
  • Learn How to Process and organize research data so that it can be reused by different teams and functions
