UX Leadership Lessons: The Hard Way Sponsored by Fusion Alliance
Thursday, February 28, 2013 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM (EST)
As an individual contributor, we tend to say, "When I'm in charge, I'll do things differently." But the fact is, most individual contributors are never trained in leadership or people management before they get promoted. That's why many of our bosses are so good at UX but need to learn how to be an effective manager. Roman Bercott will provide seven tips on how to become a successful leader, targeted toward anyone who aspires to be a team leader within the next year.
Afterwards, we will lead a facilitated session to allow other team leaders in the audience to share their tips on how they've successfully made the transition from practitioner to people leader.
Fusion Alliance will be sponsoring the event, and providing free refreshments from Potbelly at their Blue Ash location.
We hope you can join us for a networking hour from 5:30-6:30 pm, followed by the presentation and group discussion from 6:30-7:30 pm.
