The University of Washington Bothell IEEE will be holding its Third Annual Networking Afternoon event focusing on Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, and Mechanical Engineering. Our students would like to learn more about the careers paths they can follow and the skills required for them.
Last year was a tremendous success and we would once again like to thank those who attended. We look forward to having you back. For those who were unable to attend we listened to your feedback and have changed the date to better meet recruiting needs. We are extremely excited to expose our talent to a diverse group companies initiating connections that forever change their lives.
As you will see University of Washington Bothell is a nationally ranked and highly competitive academic institution. Rapidly growing in all areas of STEM our school is the fastest growing four-year public university in the state of Washington. We have a well-established nationally ranked Computer Science Department, ABET accredited Electrical Engineering program, new Electrical Engineering Master’s program and a newly established Mechanical Engineering program.
Being a smaller community our students closely work alongside faculty with small class sizes, many research opportunities, and participate in corporate contracted projects. Students receive the attention of attending a private school and have access of all the resources the University of Washington has to offer graduating with a fully accredited UW degree. I hope that you can find the time to meet with our students and discover for yourself the talent our university is producing. This event allows for long lasting connections between students and recruiters that could result in potential employment. In addition this event is intended to allow our students to make connections and get valuable input on how to obtain employment in the future. With that said there will be many soon to be grads seeking permanent employment as well as more junior students looking for internship opportunities. The event will be set up in an unconventional job fair fashion focusing on Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, and Mechanical Engineering. We will have information table for employers to provide materials for opportunities through there company as well as standing tables to encourage more intimate conversation ideal for making professional contacts.
In addition we will be extending invites to this event to all the IEEE student branches in the area making it a wonderful opportunity to meet diverse group of talented students.
