Description

In this workshop, Luis Pérez will cover inclusive design principles and strategies for incorporation in course content and activities. He will also bring a unique perspective to inclusive design as both a student who relied on assitive technologies during his academic experience and now as a faculty member at the University of South Florida incorporating these strategies in his course content. During the workshop, you will learn how to apply inclusive design strategies to maximize learning for everyone and decrease the need for individual accommodations.

  • 10:30 - 10:45 BREAK
  • 10:45 - 12:30 The "How" of Inclusive Design - exploring the technical and practical application of inclusive design
  • 12:30 - 1:30 Lunch (included in your registration fee)
  • 1:30 - 3:30 Answering Your Questions - addressing specific questions submitted by attendees

Luis will also highlight the accessiblity features of the iPhone and iPad handheld devices, as well as Mac computers. If you use an Apple iPad, iPhone, or Mac laptop be sure to bring it with you to explore accessiblity settings as you move through this workshop.
