The Internet of Things (IoT) is a growing market, and it’s growing in Utah! Come join us for out second workshop and learn about the broad range of subjects that comprise this transformation of the Internet.
Why you should come? Utah has a growing number of IoT companies, and IoT related companies. We also have a growing number of experts doing research and development in fields that will directly impact the IoT and IoT solutions. This is the place where you can come to discuss, share your knowledge, work on and learn about anything & everything related to the Internet of Things.
Topics at the last IoT in June 2016 event included the following:
IoT HardwareSecurity – Or, how do I keep the rambos on the internet from turning off my AC?
Moving Beyond Gizmos
What do you wish a voice interface could do? (Amazon, Alexa, Google Home, Siri, Gogle Now…)
Drones and IoT
Fuse Connected Car – Lessons Learned
Hack Amazon Dash Button to Order Dominos
In-home Wi-Fi Managed Router for service providers
Custom Firmware / Toolchain for Managed Routers and Integration with IoT
How can we integrate BYOD better with AV technology to create more meaningful AV classroom/learning experiences?
If your favorite topic isn’t on this list, that’s OK! This is an unconference, so you can propose whatever sessions you like.
The Utah IoT Workshop is a participatory conference, based on the open space model. The workshop has no keynotes or panels, so it's about getting stuff done! Through dozens of sessions, lunch & an evening meal (no-host) you'll have plenty of chances to exchange ideas and make new professional connections. We’ll have a professional open space facilitator on hand to make sure everythings runs smoothly.
The agenda will be created by attendees present at the opening of the day. Doors will open at 8:00. The day will begin at 8:30am with introduction/orientation followed by Agenda Creation. There will then be parallel working sessions going throughout the day until closing. At the end of the day, there will be an optional no-host dinner at Guru's Cafe in Provo.
