This course is designed to help firefighters become more comfortable with wildland engine capabilities, tactics, incident command, and interaction and idea sharing with other agencies. This course is for the firefighter who serves in a leadership role, such as a company officer, engine captain, or incident commander on a wildland incident.
Course topics will include:
1) How to safely engage on initial attack wildland fires using engine tactics
2) So you are Incident Command of this fire...now what???
3) Tips for successful national resource assignments
This 1-day course will be conducted in an open discussion format with brainstorming scenarios, sand table exercises, and hands on training.
This 6 hour workshop will feature Jocko's leadership presentation, live Q/A, book signing, and catered lunch.
