Event description

Dear Polymer Science and Engineering Alumni,

Friday, April 26, 2019, the USM School of Polymer Science and Engineering will host the 2019 School of Polymer Science and Engineering Conference and Alumni Event in honor of Dr. Charles L. McCormick III. This event celebrates Dr. McCormick’s upcoming retirement and recognizes his lifelong contributions in research and academic excellence in the School and field of polymer science and engineering. The 1-day conference is being held in the Shelby F. Thames Polymer Science Research Center on the USM Hattiesburg campus and consists of School program updates of interest to alumni, and selected speakers and presentations, which highlight over four decades of research excellence by the McCormick Research Group. In addition, we will display student posters, offer building tours, provide lunch, evening buffet and offer plenty of reconnection and networking opportunities for our alums, including an evening social event.

Please join us in celebration, and provide Dr. McCormick your most sincere and well-deserved appreciation by thanking him in-person for the dedication and service he has provided each of us in making positive contributions to our professional preparation.

The registration fee of $150 includes airport and hotel transfers (meet our graduate students!) speaker sessions, coffee breaks, lunch, parking, Southern Buffet, door prizes and all events. Your guests age 12 and up may register for $10. There is no charge for guests under age 12. If desired, please contact Dana Froelich at dana.froelich@usm.edu or 601-266-5670 to discuss hotel, registration assistance or any questions regarding the conference – WE ARE HERE TO HELP!
