Description

Join us for the inaugural Nonprofit Tech Club HNL event which kicks off a three-part series focused on free to low cost tools that nonprofits can use to share their stories.

NTEN’s Nonprofit Tech Clubs are informal, volunteer-run groups of nonprofit professionals passionate about using technology to fulfill their missions. Local Nonprofit Tech Club events offer an opportunity for professionals at all levels to learn about the latest tools and trends while meeting new people in a welcoming environment. Our gatherings are structured to promote peer learning, nonprofit-focused strategies, and related best practices.

During our first event, we’ll share and discuss an assortment resources that can help shape a simple plan to share your nonprofit’s story online as a means to connect and engage with people who care about your cause. We’ll also review a few tools that support online content creation, curation, and distribution. In the follow-up events we’ll take a deeper dive into tools supporting do-it-yourself graphics, photo capture and management, and video.

The content of the first event is geared towards folks new to--or overwhelmed by!--online communications. That said, if you’re an intermediate or super savvy user we encourage you to join us to share YOUR favorite tips + lessons learned and help us build a well-networked community of practice for Hawai‘i nonprofit professionals.
