Faria Education Group and NWEA are excited to partner together for a dynamic event to look at curriculum data and student growth results.

About this Event

Join us to explore how using Atlas and MAP results together can support the shifts needed to combine curriculum and instruction to drive student learning.

Throughout the event you will have the opportunity to work as a team, dive deep into your own school processes, collaborate with others and reflect on the shifts you will want to make to the second half of the academic year. At the end of the second day we will have individualized consulting time available for you to meet 1:1 with a MAP or Atlas representatives to talk about your next steps.

Thursday, 23 January:

8:30-9:00am: Registration and Breakfast

9:00am-12:00pm: Opening Session

  • Discuss the importance of using student growth results with the documented curriculum
  • Review a process for examining the data in order to make informed decisions
  • Outline a process for using data to make shifts in curriculum and instruction to support student success and growth

12:00pm-1:00pm: Lunch

1:00pm-2:00pm: Break out sessions

  • Participants will choose a focus topic and work in small groups

2:00pm-4:00pm: Choose a Session

Atlas Reports and Data Literacy

  • Review the various analytical reports available in Atlas.
  • Walk through a process to interpret the data and determine the questions that the reports help answer

Applying Essential MAP Reports

  • Review Essential Reports for Administrators
  • Leverage the Power of the Learning Continuum (teachers)

Saturday, 25 January:

8:30-9:00am: Breakfast

9:00am-10:30am: Panel Discussion

  • Hear from leaders in the region on how they use data and design processes that support conversation around student growth and curriculum refinement

10:30-12:00pm: Choose a Session

Quality Curriculum Review

  • Review the curriculum with the lens of student growth and success
  • Examine protocols for talking about the curriculum and making shifts based on the learners in the class

Building Your Formative Assessment Practice

Aligning assessment and instruction by:

  • Clarifying Learning: Develop and use learning targets and criteria for student success
  • Activating Learners: Explore strategies to engage students as owners of their learning and resources for peers

12:00pm-1:00pm: Lunch

1:00pm-2:00pm: Break out sessions

  • Participants will choose a focus topic and work in small groups

2:00pm-2:30pm: Closing and Reflection

2:30pm-4:30pm: Individualized Consulting Time with Atlas and NWEA

  • Optional time to dig deeper and ask focused questions

Event Cost

  • Cost is $300 for 23 & 25 January
  • If you can only attend one day, the cost is $200. Please note that material will be building from one day to the next
  • Early Bird Rate: through 10 January 2020 get an additional $50 off individual tickets
  • Group Rate: Purchase 3 registrations and the 4th is free
  • Large Group Rate: 10 seats for $2,000 to attend the full event

Cancellation Policy: Cancellation must be received 21 days prior to the event for a full refund or credit minus a $25.00 processing fee. No refunds will be given after that date.

Attendee substitutions can take place up to 48 hours prior to the event without penalty when it is an exact workshop substitution.
