Learn how to set up Song Meter SM4 and SM4BAT recorders for deployment. We will briefly introduce the physical features of both wildlife recorders, walk you through settings, and how to apply them using the SM4 Configurator. We will provide practical advice about using the available GPS, solar “Power Kit”, and microphone extension cable accessories. As part of the session, we will follow a typical workflow and provide practical examples to work through together.
This session is intended to train newer SM4/SM4BAT users or provide a helpful refresher for experienced users. To get the most from this session, we suggest downloading and installing the SM4 Configurator on your computer and bringing your SM4/SM4BAT, 4xD batteries, SD card, and card reader along to the session.
