Event description

Description

Those interested in actively participating, we ask that you use the OSCQR rubric (linked below as a Google Sheet, and as a PDF) to review a SUNY exemplary online course, which can be accessed through SUNY Blackboard (Also linked below). You will need to create an account, click on "Courses for Observation" followed by "View the exemplar courses for observation" link. Then simply enroll in a class that interests you and start looking around. We will be focusing on the second half of the OSCQR rubric, meaning items 29 - 50. Please come and join us, ready to discuss things you felt were exemplary, items that needed revision, and suggestions or questions on how to best approach those revisions.

Also linked below are the annotations for the OSCQR rubric, as well as a series of Youtube videos, which detail the items on the rubric, adds clarification, and offer suggestions for ways to improve. The final link is the introductory powerpoint that Brandon Murphy preseted in our first session, and we ask that you skim that quickly to gain some context and appreciation for the importance and development of this review process.

Thank you, and please email the ESF Open Academy
(openacademy@esf.edu) or Brandon Murphy(bmurphy@esf.edu) directly if you have any questions.
