Using Notebooks to Elicit Scientific Thinking with staff from the California Academy of Science
Science notebooks are a tool that can improve teaching and learning, developing students’ thinking over time, and supporting student engagement in NGSS Science and Engineering Practices. Learn how notebooks can be used to guide investigations, assess for learning, and communicate students’ findings. Join staff from the California Academy of Science's Teacher Institute on Science & Sustainability for a full day workshop on integrating science notebooks for scientific meaning-making!
This workshop is designed for K-12 educators, instructional coaches, and administrators. Participants will receive resources and materials on how to use their own science notebooks and how to further incorporate science notebooking into their classroom.
Cost: $110 per participant
Continental Breakfast and Lunch will be provided.
This session is subject to cancellation or rescheduling if the 15-participant minimum is not met. Registration fees are non refundable unless a session is canceled. Substitutions are gladly accepted if a registered participant cannot attend.
