Description

Does your M&E strategy take advantage of USAID’s PMP, or align with the objectives of the Foreign Aid Transparency and Accountability Act of 2016? Are you looking for new M&E ideas and strategies to improve the effectiveness of programs? Have you ever noticed that USAID and Implementing Partners often have different meanings for the same words, thereby complicating communication?

Join Jennifer Winestock Luna and Dr. Elvira Beracochea of Realizing Global Health for this one-day workshop to learn about a vision for Monitoring and Evaluation where global health professionals will be able to: Use M&E to explain and improve effectiveness of programs; Have a shared understanding between donors and implementers about appropriate M&E and ensure that individuals, families, and communities are at the center of M&E efforts.


OBJECTIVES

By the end of the conference, participants will be able to:

  • Apply key concepts of USAID’s Automated Directive System (ADS)
  • Navigate strengths and weakness of USAID’s Program Management Plan (PMP) process
  • Use different sources of information, taking into consideration strengths and weaknesses of each source
  • Effectively report information when given a standard template

  • Exploring new opportunities for using M&E to explain and improve effectiveness of programs
  • Strengthening a shared understanding between donors and implementers about appropriate M&E
  • Identifying ways to ensure that individuals, families, and communities are at the center of M&E
  • Reviewing the strengths and weakness of USAID’s Program Management Plan (PMP) process
  • Identifying the best use of different sources of information, taking into consideration strengths and weaknesses of each source
  • Highlighting opportunities provided by key elements of the “Foreign Aid Transparency and Accountability Act of 2016”

What is included in the cost of registration?

What is a Green Meeting?

It means that there will not be packets of printed documents available for participants at the workshop. Links to access the final print program, and materials will be emailed to the participant 48 hours before the start of the workshop for you to view with your computer/device or print before arriving.

What's the refund policy?

Cancellation Policy Registration fees will be refunded, less a $20 service charge, if a written request is received by June 30, 2017. Written requests can be e-mailed to programs@realizingglobalhealth.com. RGH regrets that refunds for registration will not be made after June 30, 2017. It is the policy of RGH that registration is not transferable.
