TITLE: Using FEES to Manage the Patient with Dysphagia

This presentation will review how Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) can be used to manage adults with dysphagia of various etiologies. Case studies will be presented with a particular focus on why FEES was used as an evaluation modality and how the endoscopic findings were used to shape the management and treatment course.
CE Approval: This event will have been granted Special Approval for 2.5 hours of Continuing Education by the Oregon BSPA.
This is one of a series of quarterly professional development lectures for Otolaryngologists and Speech-Language Pathologists on topics related to voice and swallowing. Lectures are held from 2:00 – 4:30 p.m.
Please note the change of location! The workshop will take place in the 8th Floor auditorium in the OHSU main hospital (UHS 8B60). From the OHSU main lobby (on the 9th floor) take the elevators down one floor to the 8th floor.
Parking: park in the patient/visitor lots underneath Physician's Pavilion or Kohler Pavilion and follow signs to the OHSU hospital.
Transit: Alternatively you can take TriMet to the top of Marquam Hill.
Our Grand Round lectures have been granted Special Approval for Continuing Education by the Oregon BSPA. There is no registration fee to attend. Please feel free to attend one or all of the lectures in the series.
