Event description
Using brain science to reduce childhood depression & anxiety

About this Event

Childhood anxiety and depression seem to have skyrocketed throughout the pandemic. Current neuroscience can teach us ways to lessen nervous system vulnerabilities and up protective factors for children in order to lift their spirits and help them enjoy life.

In this workshop, we’ll…

- Differentiate regular stress from toxic stress

- Learn how worrying and annoying behaviors are stress responses

- Discuss ways to reduce these behaviors by reducing stress in the four major brain networks

- Learn how to reflect with children about their problems and collaborate on solutions from an early, even preverbal age.
