Event description

Description

Please join us for this Disruption Lab session to hear how lawyers are using blockchain (the technology foundation for BitCoin encrypted currency exchange) to remove the “friction” and unnecessary costs of commercial transactions and data exchange. Peter Hunn of Clause.io developed the first exemplar of an intelligent contract which executed itself through the sale of cotton from Texas delivered to a purchaser in China and removed the costly and time intensive documentation, inspection and approvals needed for international commerce from the transaction. Using blockchain technology, the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence, the Clause transaction approved the delivery, completed the documentation, set the price on delivery and exchanged the funds instantly and without unnecessary cost. Commercial transactions using blockchain can remove all the intermediaries who bring no value to the deal.

Cat Moon and her colleague, Disruption Lab Associate Larry Bridgesmith of LegalAlignment.com, are creating interoperability of legal technology through blockchain and other existing technologies to reduce the costs and improve the efficiencies of legal services. Peter Hunn will be traveling from New York to join Cat and Larry for this exciting session.
