Description

Join USGBC Tennessee for our August Luncheon: Electrochromic Glazing
Presented by Cory Duggin, PE, LEED AP BD+C, BEMP, Energy Project Engineer at TLC Engineering for Architecture, Inc., in Nashville, TN.
Sponsored by: SageGlass

Thank you to this month's sponsor, SageGlass!

Come learn why high window-to-wall ratio buildings are in demand and how energy codes drive buildings to perform better! Learn how electrochromic glazing can help decrease energy use.

High window-to-wall ratio buildings are currently in demand, but energy codes are driving towards higher performance buildings. Any window to wall ratio greater than 40% creates an energy performance detriment the rest of the building’s systems must make up for in order to meet code. Electrochromic glazing is one possible system to decrease the increased energy use associated with high window to wall ratios. The presentation will explain the benefits and applications of electrochromic glazing from both a visual comfort and energy efficiency stand point.
