USGBC National Capital Region – Fall 2017 LEED Credits Masterclasses

Schedule of Masterclasses (Save the Dates!)

Every last Wednesday of the month, 12pm-1:30pm, USGBC HQ (Sept-Dec)

LEED BD+C: October 25th eligible to earn LEED BD+C specific CEUs

LEED ID+C: November 29th eligible to earn LEED ID+C specific CEUs

LEED O+M December 13th eligible to earn LEED O+M specific CEUs

FOR LEED AP Ninjas of the NCR Region:

Welcome the fall at USGBC-NCR by sharpening your knowledge of the “latest and greatest achievements” in LEED credits taught by our industry experts! NCR members will dive deep into applications of a variety of credits across LEED ratings for new and existing buildings, and interiors. AP BD+C, O+M and ID+C holders will have the opportunity to earn LEED specific CEUs towards their credential maintenance requirements, and industry practitioners will have in-depth discussion on the technical applications of the credits. Advanced knowledge, and LEED AP credential holders highly encouraged to attend.

"Diving into LEED v4: Foundations of Integrative Design - Integrative Process Credit "

Are you a practitioner in LEED design and would like to refresh knowledge, or dip deeper into the Integrative Process? Are you looking to have meaningful discussions on the credit use and achievement in the LEED certification process with practitioners in new construction or commercial interiors? This course offers a great learning curve for LEED BD+C, LEED ID+C and LEED WELL professionals.

This class will take a deep-dive into the Integrative Process, a team strategy which is integral to the LEED BD+C, ID+C, O+M systems, as well as the WELL Building Standard. The speakers will present on the intent and importance of this credit to the general overall success of sustainable projects, including overlap and synergies between green and wellbeing integrative processes. The session will delve into the credit requirements, and how the attainment of these might be enhanced through the integrative process, related to discovery and implementation for both energy-related systems and water-related systems will also be covered. Following an in-depth review of the credit requirements and documentation items, the team will present some best practices for achieving this credit along with some case studies of methods taken on real projects.
