  • The RMC campus sits on 600 acres of beautifully manicured greenspace - one of the largest corporate greenspaces in the Southeast and a nationally recognized arboretum – that was once a peach orchard. It was Mr. Milliken who inspired the designers to create the vistas of open fields, groves and trees, fifteen decorative fountains and six ponds. Over 500 different trees and shrubs, many rare to SC, enhance the site grounds. In 1989, Milliken and Company began a partnership with J. Frank Schmidt & Son Co. a nursery in Boring, Oregon. The nursery provides the RMC site with bare root trees to see how they grow in this part of the country, and Milliken returns the favor by keeping records on growth rates, fall color and flower performance for the nursery.
