Description
User Testing: An Introduction and a Demonstration with Edward Scott
OVERVIEW: "User experience" (UX) is a frequently heard term these days but it often means different things to different people. This presentation will focus on user experience testing, which refers to the process of testing a prototype website or application with representative users. Testing doesn't have to be a long, difficult, drawn-out process, and this presentation will get attendees started with preparing their first UX test. We’ll discuss what UX testing is, provide an overview of how UX testing is conducted, offer a demonstration of a UX test, and offer reasons why it's important, from design and business standpoints, to conduct testing.
BENEFITS OF ATTENDING:
- structure a UX test through the creation of scenarios and tasks;
- facilitate during the evaluation of the interface;
- produce a recommendation report that describes the UX issues, rates the severity of each issue, and proposes solutions for fixing the problems; and make the case for UX testing to their colleagues.
Speaker:
