You may hear about “User Experience” or “UX” or “Usability” applied in different ways to the projects that you manage.  What does this mean?  Why does it matter? How do you integrate UX into your project workflow?  How do you make sure that your projects are usable by the intended audience?

In this presentation, Cory Lebson will describe how user experience professionals are focused on making sure that end users of your project can effectively and efficiently use the interface.  He will describe UX roles that you can and should incorporate into your project workflow, particularly UX designers, information architects and user researchers.  He will then explain the value of user research, and how to overcome barriers that may otherwise limit your ability to include these research activities that will help you to better understand your audience.
