Each year, thousands of Trojans gather across the globe to make a difference in their communities. The USC Alumni Day of SCervice is an opportunity for all alumni and friends to participate in local service volunteer projects organized by our USC alumni clubs, chapters and other affiliated groups worldwide.
Let's make a difference in Atlanta! Our 2017 SCervice Day will be at Atlanta Community Food Bank, which works with more than 600 nonprofit partners—including food pantries, community kitchens, childcare centers, night shelters and senior centers—to distribute over 50 million meals to more than 755,000 people in 29 counties across metro Atlanta and north Georgia. ACFB utilizes more than 1,700 volunteers a month, over 150 staff members, a large fleet of trucks and a 129,000 square-foot facility to procure and distribute food and grocery items received from hundreds of donors. ACFB donors include manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, brokers, restaurants, food drives, gardens and individuals.
Our Atlanta Trojan volunteers will be in the Product Rescue Center (PRC) which provides great hands-on experience in a diverse and social atmosphere. Our group will come together to inspect, sort, and pack quality grocery donations.
When you sign-up, you will need to register according to the SCervice Day T-shirt size you want. There are four sizes available (S-XL), with each registration row corresponding to a specific T-shirt size. Click on "Show Info" to make sure you are registering to receive the correct shirt size.
