The USC Alumni Club of LA Beach Cities South Bay Chapter is partnering with the City of Redondo Beach Public Works and Parks and Recreation Departments for the 2017 Day of SCervice. Please join us for a day of planting trees at Hopkins Wilderness Park, a local center for camping, nature study and conservation. We will be planting a variety of trees including American Sweet Gums, California Pepper and California Sycamore trees that were previously destroyed in a fire. Following the project, we invite all of our volunteers to stay for a free BBQ picnic to celebrate our efforts.
Feel free to bring the entire family as tree planting is appropriate for all ages. Volunteers are required to sign a waiver provided by the City of Redondo Beach in order to participate, and must bring their own gloves and sturdy shoes. Once you have parked in the free parking lot onsite, please walk to the west end of the lot and enter the park through the service entrance. We look forward to another successful SCervice project and thank you for volunteering!
