Friends Who Are Going
Event description

Description

"From the Peabody Award-winning director Leon Lee, comes a riveting thriller based on real-life events.

In the early 2000’s the increasing spread of information technology was fast becoming a perceived threat to the Chinese communist regime. Western technology companies were paid large sums to develop a high-profile project dubbed 'The Golden Shield Project' aimed to censor and restrict internet access as well as monitor the activities of Chinese citizens.

When a young Western tech executive based in China suffers from heart failure on the job, he receives a heart transplant from an unknown donor. Once he discovers the horrific truth behind his operation he must risk his life to help save the next victims and find redemption."

We are honored to be joined by the Director Leon Lee and Miss World Canada Anastasia Lin for the US premiere of this award winning film followed by a time for Q&A.

We hope you will be able to join us and support this important opportunity to share these stories of hope amid the darkness of Communism.

US Premiere of The Bleeding Edge

With Special Guests, Miss World Canada Anastasia Lin and Director Leon Lee

Wednesday, December 14th 2016

6:30pm followed by a Director Q&A

*We recommend you reserve your ticket here in advance as we are expected to sell out due to extremely limited seating.

While the content of this film is more graphic than our usual VOC film selection we believe the reality of this story is worth discussing. One-fifth of the world's population lives under communist regimes that perpetuate these graphic crimes and we believe their stories should be told.
