The Water Quality Standards (WQS) Academy provides technology transfer and implementation information to WQS professionals associated with the federal, state, tribal and local agencies as well as the private sector. In late 2015, EPA finalized revisions to the federal Water Quality Standards regulation at 40 CFR Part 131. The Academy materials have been updated accordingly to provide students with the most current information on the interpretation and application of the revised regulations.
The WQS Academy will take place May 8-12, 2017 in Washington, DC. Specific location information and daily logistics will be provided via email if your registration request is accepted.
Registration requests are due by Monday, March 20, 2017. Please note that because seats in the course are very limited, EPA reserves the right to accept registration requests based on a balanced mix of participants from different types of organizations. You will be notified in writing by Friday, March 24, 2017 as to whether or not your registration request to attend the WQS Academy has been accepted or whether you were placed on the waiting list.
