About: EPA's Safer Choice program is hosting the Safer Choice Partner of the Year Awards Ceremony in the Horizon Ballroom at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center on September 25, 2019 at 1:00 pm (arrival by 12:45 pm requested). Please use the link above to register.

  • Who should attend? Safer Choice Partner of the Year Awards 2019 award winners, partner companies, and stakeholders.

  • What will be covered at the event? EPA will recognize winners of the 2019 Safer Choice Program Partner of the Year Awards for their outstanding achievement in the design, manufacture, selection, and use of products with safer chemicals.

  • Where is the event? The event is located in the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center's Horizon Ballroom, located at 1300 Pennsylvania Ave NW, Washington, DC.

  • What are my transport/parking options to get to the event?

    Metro: The closest Metrorail stop is Federal Triangle (302 12th St., NW), located on the Orange, Blue, and Silver lines. Follow signs inside the station to the Ronald Reagan Building. An additional nearby Metrorail stop is Metro Center (607 13th St., NW), located on the Red line. From the station, walk one block west on G St. NW. Then turn left on 13th St., NW and walk three blocks south to the corner of 13th St., NW and Pennsylvania Ave. Proceed south onto the plaza and you will find the Ronald Reagan Building on your right.     Amtrak: Take Amtrak to Washington’s Union Station (202-371-9441). Note that Amtrak requires reservations for all trains either in advance or at the station. Detailed information is available from Amtrak: 1-800-USA-RAIL (1-800-872-7245), or www.amtrak.com. From there, take either a taxicab or Metro (see above).

    Air: Three airports serve the Washington, DC area: Ronald Reagan National (DCA), Washington Dulles International (IAD), and Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall (BWI). Ronald Reagan National is the closest airport to downtown Washington, DC. Dulles (25 miles) and BWI (34 miles) are farther away. You can take Metrorail from Ronald Reagan National to get to the EPA building (see Metro above). Buses from Dulles and BWI connect to Metrorail stations. BWI’s rail station also provides Amtrak and Maryland Commuter train service (MARC) to Washington’s Union Station. Taxicabs and shuttle buses serve all three airports.

    Car: For GPS mapping, use 1300 Pennsylvania Ave., NW (Google map). There is extremely limited street parking (metered). There are several nearby public-parking garages (daily/hourly charge).
