U.S. Customs and Border Protection - Detroit Field Office Trade Day 2017

U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations - Detroit Field Office will be hosting the 6th Annual Trade Day at COBO Center on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Registration table will be open starting at 8:30 a.m. with hall doors opening at 8:45 a.m.
This event shall provide the trade community and those interested in the importing/exporting process an opportunity to interact with CBP personnel, Detroit Field Office trade staff, Canadian Government Officials, and a multitude of representatives from Partner Government Agencies (PGA). Trade Day 2017 will provide participants with the opportunity to communicate one-on-one with government representatives who are responsible for enforcing various trade laws while still processing/facilitating trade.
In addition, formal presentations shall be given continuously throughout the day providing information on current programs and policies relating to the import and export of merchandise.
Past presenters have included:
- Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
- Regulatory Audit
- Centers of Excellence and Expertise (CEE)
- Centers for Disease Control (CDC)
Please feel free to forward this link to all those individuals that may be interested in attending this trade event. An agenda listing presentations shall be provided to registered attendees as the event date approaches.
Participants are encouraged to bring their questions as they will have access to presenters who will be able to address a multitude of inquires including, but not limited to, policies, procedures, current initiatives, and regulations relating to trade operations.
Registration will be open until August 4, 2017.
On the day of the event where do I go?
The registration table will be located outside Room 330B (3rd floor, towards the river) on the morning of the event with presentations being conducted in the adjacent conference room. You will be asked to sign-in and will be given an ID badge which shall give you access to the event and the presentations held throughout the day. Registration shall begin at 8:30 a.m the day of the event. Doors shall open at 8:45 a.m.

Parking is available at the COBO Rooftop Deck, COBO Center Congress Street Garage, and COBO Center Washington BLVD garage. There are also many parking options around the surrounding COBO Center area.

No. All preregistered attendees will be included on the sign-in roster at the registration table the day of the event.
