U.S. Congresswoman Grace F. Napolitano and U.S. Congresswoman Judy Chu, in association with Veterans Services Organizations present the 5th Annual Veterans Forum. It seeks to assist Veterans and their families who have pending cases with the Veterans Administration.
The following are the services that will be provided:
- Veterans will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with representatives of the Veterans Administration Region Office in order to file new claims and receive status updates.
- Representatives from the VA Long Beach Healthcare System (VA Hospital) will also be there to assist you with your questions and concerns regarding your claim. You will have the opportunity to sign up for your VA Identification Card and receive a health exam.
- Breakout sessions dealing with topics of importance to veterans and their families will be presented which will include: (1) Mental Health, (2) Woman Warriors, (3) Education and Financial Planning, (4) Assistance for Homeless Veterans. These sessions will be conducted by experts in each field. Each will afford Veterans the opportunity to have their questions answered.
- Here is how you can help: First and foremost, be there to receive the information first hand and directly from the source. Secondly, help us distribute this information to your Veterans network, family, and friends. Thirdly, remain true to the Soldier's Creed, which states, "I will never leave a fallen comrade behind."
