Description

US-China at 40: A New Framework to Manage Bilateral Relationship by the Carter Center, the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, and the Institute of American Studies, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.

It will take place from January 17th to 19th, 2019 at Carter Center and Emory University.

The overarching theme of our conference is US-China at 40: A New Framework to Manage Bilateral Relationship. Our conference will include the following topics:

International Symposium to Commemorate US-China at 40 - January 17th to January 18th, 2019 - The Carter Center

Include the welcome dinner on 16th and the conference at the Carter Center on 17th featuring keynote speakers – Stephen Orlins, the president of the National Committee on United States-China Relations, Wang Boming, the Chairman of Caijing’s parent company, the SEEC Media Group, and Craig Allen, the sixth President of the United States-China Business Council (USCBC). Include the conference at the Carter Center on 18th featuring distinguished speakers for opening remarks – Jimmy Carter, 39th President of the U.S, Cui Tiankai, the Chinese Ambassador to the United States, and Li Xiaolin, president of Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries. It also includes the dinner/reception and screening of Better Angels at Emory University on 18th.

Emory Global China Summit - January 18th to 19th - Emory University

Include five topics revolving U.S and China – Trade & Investment, Maritime Disputes, Business in America and China, China Political and Security Issues, and Healthcare Industry Cooperation. It also includes the networking dinner at Emory University on 19th. This event will be hosted at Goodrich C. White Hall of Emory University.
