UROC: Lessons from the Field - Meeting the Needs of Transgender Youth

UMN Extension's Children, Youth, & Family Consortium's resident scholar and Family Social Sciences professor, Dr. Jenifer McGuire, will travel with a team of graduate students and Extension educators to several Minnesota regions to meet directly with professionals and families to discuss: issues relevant to transgender youth (morning session), nutrition and transgender body image, and mental health as a public health issue (afternoon sessions).
Intended audiences include professionals and educators, as well as parents and other adults whose work and relationships may include transgender youth. CEUs will be available for social workers.
Registration is required as lunch will be provided for those attending the full day.
