URBN Companies is coming to Chicago to recruit Marketing, Photo/Creative, and Fashion Design and Fashion Business students for their Internships & Merchant Leadership Program. Based in Philadelphia, URBN is the parent company of Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie, Free People, BHLDN, and Terrain. To learn more visit: http://www.urbn.com/idratherbeamazing/
Interested Students MUST bring a completed application. Application should include:
- Resume along with your cover letter that answers 1) why you are interested in working for Urban Outfitters, 2) why you want to be part of the Merchant Leadership Program and 3) tell us why you chose the specific area of focus (Women's Apparel, Men's Apparel/Accessories, Women's Accessories, or Apartment). 4) What do you want to get out of your summer internship experience at URBN?
- All candidates will need to electronically present an inspiration board (8.5 x 11 pdf) that demonstrates their understanding of their chosen brand. We ask that you be creative with the inspiration board, there are no major guidelines. We want to know what inspires you whether it is magazine tears, pictures, descriptive words etc, but be sure to keep in mind the position you are applying for when working on your board. (i.e., an apparel buying internship should have a product heavy focus). This is the creative part of the application so have fun with it.
Additionally, Resume, cover letter, and inspiration board must be combined into one PDF file to submit online, electronically. (upload this file only under Resume for your online application-Do not upload documents to Cover Letter). As you are completing your candidate profile, please upload a copy of your most recent transcript in the Documents section. Both of these steps must be completed by September 30, 2014. Apply early! URBN has a rolling admission process for a select number of interview spots. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
