About this Event

Learn how to turn a piece of wood something practical and meaningful. Woodcarving is an amazing hobby if you want to spend time being in connection with nature and with yourself. We are going to carve a spoon or spatula using waste wood.I introduce you to different types of wood, techniques, and all the tips and tricks you should know if you want to start practicing this wonderful hobby at home. We also learn how to take a proper care of your knife.

The price includes using knives and all the material.

Your instructor is Anna-Liisa, who is an urban woodworker and spoon carver with an intention to make sustainable and good looking furniture available for more people. You can read more about her here and see her designs here.

Once a month there is a free Q&A session about woodworking and tools for women.

In the pop-up workshops, men are welcome too.

Woodworking helps you to relax, connect to yourself and other Wood Sisters. You will see how beautiful things you can make with your own hands. You are going to love it.
