Celebrating the launch of the book ‘Bristol Through Maps’ (published by Redcliffe Press), author Jeff Bishop invites people to explore the city centre with a dozen very different maps from the past (starting in 1480) to today and even looking forward to the Bristol of tomorrow. The maps are not just formal; some are planners’ maps, estate maps, visitors’ maps, but all offer insights into different aspects of the city at different times.
Jeff is a local author and a founder Trustee of the Architecture Centre. Copies of the book are available to buy (£20) at the Architecture with cash or cheque.
The walk lasts 2 hours and is level access (but sometimes cobbled!).
