Timothy "Urban Thoughts" Moore is a Certified Teaching Artist, Multiple Poetry Slam Champion, Youth Coach, and Grant Writer. Urban Thoughts holds an B. A. degree in English with a Concentration of Creative Writing, Masters Degree of Instruction Curriculum and Design from The University of Memphis, and Project Based Learning Summer Cohort Training from The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T). He is a critical mind in arts, traveling poet, and collaborator of artists in thinking through funding for projects, goals, and businesses.
This workshop is geared towards a diverse network of people who are frustrated with the seemingly dead end of funding, grant writing and loans. During the workshop, specific tactics of grant writing will be proactively engaged. Templates for the development of "Asks" and materials will be provided to establish a truer sense of self to apply for grants. Last, targeting grants and possible funders will be discussed and mapped. Attendees will have a low ratio of student to facilitator ratio to further establish an intimate atmosphere to work through real-time issues and think through funding and grant writing.
