Event description

Description

Join us for Canning 101! Our relatives had these skills just two generations ago, but they’ve been overshadowed and even lost in recent years. So we’re committed to sharing these skills and this knowledge with as many people as we can, especially our youth! It’s another important step toward food security, sovereignty and sustainability in our community.

This canning workshop is geared to our youth but all ages are welcome. Judith Yisrael will lead youth to make a Berry Lemonade Concentrate using homegrown lemons and process into canning jars. We will taste and sample what we make. Please note, final recipe used in class may be subject to change depending on availability.
