Late winter is a great time to get to know maple trees. Our woods have several species which can be tapped for their sap. Attendees will learn: tree identification, how to tap trees and the proper time of year when the sap flows. We will also discuss how to cook with maple sap and of course how to boil it down for syrup. In Partnership with the Pittsburgh Parks Conservacy and the Frick Environmental Center
