About this event

Peer-to-peer exchange is a vital component of the Urban-LEDS project. Through learning and reflection, local governments - as key project stakeholders - can exchange experiences, good practices, but also frankly discuss failures and challenges, and how to overcome these. The focus is on lessons learned, developing new partnerships, and gathering ideas to step up climate action and collaboration models that would support your local work.

The networking seminar of 2021 will offer a final opportunity to exchange, before the project comes to an end in December 2021.

Due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, this seminar will take place virtually. As a highlight, coming as it does towards the end of the project, the seminar is a perfect opportunity to share success stories of our cities and reflect on lessons learned in Urban-LEDS II, as well as how to now accelerate integrated climate action and effective multilevel governance.

The objectives of the networking seminar are to:

Enable Urban-LEDS project local and national government representatives reflect on progress made during the last 4 years of project implementation;

Share and exchange experiences between participating cities on specific thematic topics;

Strengthen city to city relationships and potential (new/continued) partnerships;

Promote dialogue between local and national governments involved in the

project; and

Identify future priorities for joint collaboration and opportunities to deliver these

(e.g. COP26).
