Description

Explore Portland's everchanging urban landscapes under the city night lights with Photographer Geoffrey Hiller!

Hiller will be leading a three-day photography workshop exploring urban landscapes in NW and SE Portland. In the heat of the summer night, the city wakes with a new nocturnal energy, revealing old and new architecture and concrete landscapes that are often unnoticed during the bustling day. Hiller will be teaching how to photograph these landscapes at night, taking in account the various lighting available, long-exposure techniques, and opening our photographic eyes to the opportunities that the night reveals to us.

The first two nights will be shooting nights, starting at 8pm to prepare and discuss goals, gear and technique. The third day, Sunday, will be a review and critique day so participants can discuss post-editing, and choosing images for a portfolio.

Day 1 (June 9th): NW Portland
