Description

Join us for Services at 6:15 followed by dinner in our backyard Sukkah. We are excited to have a guest speaker with us from Eagle Street Rooftop Farms. Dinner will be served around 7:30 with Annie speaking shortly thereafter, but please feel free to come at any time. Sukkot is the holiday of open doors.

Three stories up in the air, the power of an idea and fresh food is growing! The Eagle Street Rooftop Farm is an internationally acclaimed greenroof and commercially operated vegetable farm atop a three story warehouse in Brooklyn, New York.

On the shoreline of the East River and with a sweeping view of the Manhattan skyline, Eagle Street Rooftop Farm is a 6,000 square foot green roof organic vegetable farm located atop a warehouse rooftop owned by Broadway Stages in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.

Annie Novak is an author, urban farmer, educator, and athlete. She has worked for the New York Botanical Garden since 2005, founded the food education non-profit Growing Chefs in 2006, co-founded the nation’s first commercial green roof vegetable farm in 2009, and speaks and writes nationally on farming, gardening, and the natural world.
