Description

Event starts promptly at 9am in front of the Korean Cultural Center on Wilshire Blvd.

Meet up with Metro-commissioned artist Fran Siegel for a progressive experience of five activities on a Saturday morning in mid-Wilshire. Get a behind-the-scenes look into Siegel's research for an artwork she is creating for the future rail station at Wilshire and La Brea.

Part 1: Observation and orientation of sunlight and architecture

Part 2: Walking tour along Wilshire Boulevard with L.A. historian J. Eric Lynxwiler

Part 3: Talk at the Korean Cultural Center on ancient Korean methods of marking time and history with Joyce Kim and Tammy Chung

Part 4: Presentation of Fran Siegel’s project for the future station at Wilshire and La Brea

Part 5: Noontime sun observation

Parking: Limited free parking at the Korean Cultural Center behind the building - entrance is on Dunsmuir Avenue.
