Description

UPWARD PORTLAND invites you to an exclusive event:

The Science and Power of Stories With Larry Shoop

We are hardwired to think in terms of stories. Our minds use story structures to make sense of incoming information. Yet, we rarely use stories in our formal presentations and communications. That’s a mistake. We are missing valuable opportunities to engage our audiences, make our content memorable and to be persuasive. Stories accomplish these important goals…and much more.

Join us on May 6 to explore the science, research, techniques and application of great storytelling. Expert communicator, presenter and storyteller Larry Shoop will lead a workshop on Storytelling at our next Upward Women PDX event. Larry has extensive communications expertise in the business environment and mainstream media including presentation development and delivery, storytelling and communication skills to engage and connect with any audience.
