Event description

Description

This one-day intensive, geared toward public sector employees, highlights essential skills for mediators of all levels. Designed to bridge the gap between a theoretical framework for mediation and the realities of mediation practice, this course harnesses the educational value of improvisation, drills, and repetition to hone skills. Emphasis is placed upon topics such as strategic questioning methods including t-funneling and directional questions, unarticulated interests and authority, and nuanced reframing techniques. While examples in this course are largely from the public sector, the skills are transferable to mediators from both public and private sectors.
